ALL ABOUT LAURA

Laura Hoggins developed her passion for lifting after she discovered a Crossfit box in Hammersmith, and met a community of individuals who valued the Athletic over the Aesthetic. She began training, left her office job, and became one of the most important female voices in the UK’s strength scene.

After becoming a fully trained Fitness Coach and Personal Trainer, Laura established her own concept class at the Ministry of Sound Fitness. She perfected her methods under Ben Gotting at The Foundry, and teaches a mix of modified strongman, strength, and conditioning circuits across London’s top fitness venues.

Her message, that strength is not a size, has empowered hundreds of women, and she has worked with British Women’s Lifting, Women in Sport and This Girl Can, to spread the word, and empower female bodies and minds. A regular contributor to Woman’s Health, Metro, and Health & Fitness Magazine, Laura is recognised as one of the most prominent advocates of lifting for women in The Uk, regularly appearing on Podcasts, at festivals, and events around the country.

Her first book, “Lift Yourself: A Training Guide to Getting Fit and Feeling Strong for Life” was described by The Evening Standard as a “Myth-busting Bible...for any woman too frightened to enter the weights area of the gym”.
