Scarlett Curtis is the curator of the Sunday TimesBestseller and National Book Award winning “Feminists Don’t Wear Pink & other lies” and “It's Not Ok To Feel Blue & other lies” published byPenguin. To date the books have sold over 200,000 copies and been published in 12 different countries.
As a journalist, Scarlett has written for The Guardian, The Telegraph and Vogue and is currently contributing editor at The Sunday Times Style. Scarlett's limited series podcast Feminists Don't Wear Pink featured guests including Keira Knightley, Mindy Kaling, Lena Dunham, Helen Fielding, Angela Yee & more. It currently has over 1 Million listens in just 25 episodes.
In 2017 Scarlett co-founded The Pink Protest; a feminist activist collective committed to helping young people take action. To date they have been apart of campaigns that have changed two laws; a bill to help end period poverty and a bill to get FGM into the Children’s Act.
In November 2019 Scarlett Curtis was awarded the Changemaker Award for young activists presented by Equality Now and Gucci’s Chime for Change. Scarlett is a UN Women UK advocate and sits on the advisory board for Gucci’s Chime for Change. In 2020 Scarlett was one of the judges for theWomen's Prize for Fiction and is now a member of the board of the Women's Prize Trust.
